Application note
Temperature and humidity: enclosure design checklist
Review air exchange, local heat sources and protection before integrating a sensor.
Air exchange
Position the sensing element where it can exchange air with the measured environment. The manufacturer's guide recommends minimizing trapped air around the sensor.
Thermal separation
Review heat from the PCB, display and nearby electronics. Evaluate the assembled device, not only the bare sensor.
Protection and validation
Choose protection for the actual dust and moisture conditions, then verify response time in the finished enclosure. Follow the model-specific handling and assembly instructions.
